Long before founding her studio in 2008, Julia Goodwin was drawn to the details that make a home feel layered, personal, and lived in.

Raised in Silicon Valley by British parents and spending much of her youth traveling throughout Europe, Julia developed an early appreciation for architecture, craftsmanship, and interiors that feel collected over time. These early influences continue to shape her approach to design today.

After receiving her degree in interior design, Julia began building a practice grounded in thoughtful collaboration and a deep understanding of how people live in their homes. Over the past fifteen years, her work has grown into a portfolio of projects throughout Marin County, San Francisco, Napa Valley, and the greater Bay Area.

Julia approaches each project with the belief that the most successful homes feel both intentional and effortless. By rethinking layouts, introducing architectural detail, and layering materials and furnishings with care, she helps clients transform their homes into spaces that support everyday life while maintaining a sense of beauty and ease.

Julia lives in Marin County with her husband and two sons, where she continues to find inspiration in Northern California’s landscape and relaxed way of living.
